We welcome the Oversight Board’s decision today on this case which deals with a video posted to Facebook with a caption in which a man gave his opinion that Indonesian police and law enforcement officials do not provide justice and are involved in widespread extortion.
Upon initial review, Meta removed this content for violating our Violence and Incitement policy, as laid out in the Facebook Community Standards. However, after the board brought the case to our attention, we determined that we had removed the content in error and will reinstate the post.
There will be no further updates to this case.
