We welcome the Oversight Board’s decision today on this case which deals with content posted to a Facebook Page that commemorates the death of Amilcar Cabral, a Bissau-Guinean anti-colonial leader who was assassinated on January 20, 1973.

Upon initial review, Meta removed this content. However, after the board brought the case to our attention, we determined the post was removed in error and reinstated it.

There will be no further updates to this case.
