Changelog
We restricted access to over 9,000 items in India in response to directions from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) and the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C). Content restricted under I4C issued reports pursuant to Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, included content allegedly related to Generated AI and manipulated content, defamation, hate speech, violence and incitement, religious extremism & sectarian content, and alleged fraud & scams. We also restricted access to over 22,000 items in response to court orders submitted by local law enforcement agencies to restrict content relating to Generated AI content about local politicians. The remaining items were restricted due to alleged violations of other local laws.

Additionally, we restricted access to over 100 items on Threads for alleged violation of local laws.
