Meta Quest Disclosure

UPDATED AUG 12, 2025
Meta Quest is capable of generating data by means of its component device sensors and operating system, concerning its performance, use, and the environment in which it operates (“Product Data”). The Product Data generated by Meta Quest may have formats that include: alphanumeric strings, boolean values, integer values, floating-point values, date and time formats, audio file formats, text file formats, lists, and key-value pairs.
The volume of Product Data that Meta Quest generates varies based on how the device is being used, such as which sensors are in use, which apps are running, and the user’s settings.
Meta Quest generates Product Data continuously and in real-time.
Meta Quest is capable of storing Product Data on the device and also on Meta’s remote servers. Product Data is retained for as long as Meta needs it to provide our products, comply with legal obligations or to protect our or other's interests. We decide how long we need Product Data on a case-by-case basis.
You can access or retrieve Product Data from your Meta Quest via this portal. The instructions are detailed on this webpage.
You can delete Product Data from your Meta Quest by following these directions.
Terms of service are available here.
Meta also makes available information on the technical means to gain access, retrieve, or, where relevant, erase Product Data for Developers and APIs/SDKs.
