Meta AI App Disclosure

The Meta AI app is capable of generating raw and pre-processed data by means of Meta AI Glasses component sensors and their operating system, concerning the performance of the Meta AI Glasses, their use and the environment in which they operate (“Product Data”). The volume of Product Data that the Meta AI app generates varies based on how the app and AI Glasses are being used.
Meta will collect Product Data on a continual basis when Meta AI Glasses are connected to the Meta AI app. You can access or retrieve Product Data that Meta collects from the Meta AI app via this portal.
This Product Data is retained for as long as Meta needs it to provide our products, comply with legal obligations or to protect our or other's interests. We decide how long we need Product Data on a case-by-case basis.
Meta will also collect data about user actions or events taken or generated through the use of the Meta AI app and which relate to the use of Meta AI Glasses, including pre-processed data (“Related Service Data”). The volume of Related Service Data that Meta will connect varies based on your usage of the Meta AI app.
You can access or retrieve Related Service Data that Meta collects from the Meta AI app via this portal.
This Related Service Data is retained for as long as Meta needs it to provide our products, comply with legal obligations or to protect our or other's interests. We decide how long we need Related Service Data on a case-by-case basis.
Meta uses readily available Product Data and Related Service Data for the following purposes:
  • to perform services under the Supplemental Meta Platforms Technologies Terms of Service and any other applicable agreement;
  • to provide and improve our Meta Platforms Technologies Products listed here (including ads and providing content);
  • to research and innovate for social good; to promote safety, security, and integrity; to assess users’ and third party’s claims;
  • to transfer, store, or process non-personal data globally;
  • to disclose data to third parties in response to legal requests or as required by applicable law;
  • to provide measurement, analytics, and business services; and
  • as otherwise necessary from time to time and permitted under applicable law.
Meta may allow readily available Product Data and Related Service Data to be used by third parties that you direct us to share Related Service Data data with, in accordance with applicable laws and subject to necessary measures to preserve the confidentiality of any trade secrets.
The Data holder will be Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited shares the information we collect, infrastructure, systems and technology with the other Meta Companies.

You can request that your readily available Product Data and Related Service Data is shared with a third party and stop data sharing here.
You have the right to lodge a complaint about Meta’s compliance with the Data Act with the competent authority designated pursuant to Article 37 of the Data Act.
Meta is the holder of any trade secrets contained in the readily available Product Data and Related Service Data that is accessible from the Meta AI Glasses or generated during the provision of the Meta AI app.
Your rights to use the Meta AI App, as well as your rights to terminate your use of the Meta AI app, is governed by these terms. This contract is in place for as long as you use the Meta AI app.
