Dating Ads
Ads for dating services are only allowed with prior written permission. These must adhere to the dating targeting requirements and our dating ad guidelines. Details on the requirements for permission can be found here. In order to seek permission, please fill out this form to begin your application process.
Overview
Advertisers can run ads for online dating services as long as they have written permission from Meta. They can request permission using this form. Once permission is granted, advertisers can run ads that promote:
  • Online or offline dating
  • Matchmaking
  • Dating facilitation, including dating profile management and dating aggregator services
All ads for online dating services must target audiences 18 years or older. Advertisers must follow our Community Standards, in addition to our Advertising Standards.
Guidelines
Ads can’t promote the following products or services:
  • Dating sites with an emphasis on sexual encounters
  • Dating with casual sexual themes or monetary or other financial transactions, such as mail-order brides or “sugar babies”
  • Services offering to facilitate affairs, infidelity or non-monogamous connections
  • Connections with fictitious groups or individuals
Additionally, dating ads can’t include the following in their creatives:
  • An emphasis on sexual encounters
  • Monetary or other financial transactions, such as mail-order brides or “sugar babies”
  • Facilitating affairs or infidelity, or non-monogamous connections
  • Indicating people will meet or connect with fictitious groups or individuals
  • Sexually suggestive emphasis
Ads can promote:
  • Literature or entertainment around relationships, such as TV shows, games, or documentaries on dating and relationships
  • Social apps without matchmaking elements, such as meetup apps
