How Facebook Pages You May Like works
When you view and interact with Facebook, one of the underlying AI systems delivers personalized Page recommendations to you. These recommendations help you discover new Pages you might find interesting or relevant.
- Gather InventoryFirst, the system gathers Pages that might interest you. These could include Pages your friends have followed or Pages that relate to topics or products you’ve recently engaged with.
- Leverage signalsNow, the system considers a variety of input signals about each Page, based on your activity and the attributes of the Page. The system applies certain integrity processes to help reduce the distribution of content that may go against our Community Standards. Then the system uses these signals to narrow the pool of eligible Page suggestions.
- Make predictionsFrom there, the system has models that help it make predictions about Pages you’ll find most relevant.
- Rank Pages by scoreFinally, the system calculates a score for each Page and puts Pages in order by this score. Pages that the system predicts will provide more value for you are shown to you first.
