Working with organisations to enforce

How Meta works with other organisations to enforce our policies

UPDATED 19 JAN 2022
Meta works with a range of organisations to help protect people on Facebook and Instagram. For example, as part of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, we work with other organisations by sharing "hashes" – or digital fingerprints – of certain harmful content, such as violent terrorist imagery or videos. This allows both Meta and other services across the Internet to rapidly detect and remove violating content, such as terrorist propaganda.
